Easdale Primary has a well-established Early Learning and Childcare Provision for children 3-4 year olds, sometimes referred to locally as 鈥渢he nursery鈥. It is an integral part of our school and wider community with a high reputation.
The setting is managed by the Head Teacher and Principal Teacher; it has experienced Child Care and Education Workers and an enthusiastic Classroom Assistant. Together with the rest of the school staff we work to ensure the highest quality of provision. 鈥淩ealising the Ambition鈥 and 鈥淭hree Assets Approaches鈥 are the basis for our curriculum offer.
We recognise the challenges of transition from home to school and we make ourselves available to assist parents and children through this process. The nursery session takes place mainly within the school building and grounds. Due to this, the transition from nursery into primary is well supported.
Whenever safe and practicable children have regular opportunities to build their experiences outside of school, visiting the football pitch and the local play park and well as trips into Oban.
A healthy snack is offered to the children and a daily opportunity to sit and eat round the table. Each family makes a voluntary contribution to the cost of snack and this is paid on a Monday.
