What will happen after my visa expires?
The UK government announced the launch of a new visa scheme called the Ukraine Permission Extension scheme which allows Ukraine Schemes visa holders, including Homes for Ukraine, to apply for an additional 18 months’ leave in the 28 day period before their current visa expires. It has not yet been announced if there will be any further opportunities to extend.
I have friends/relatives in Ukraine who want to come to the UK, can you help?
Unfortunately, we are unable to help friends and relatives gain visas to the UK or find them hosts. The Homes for Ukraine scheme is still available to those who have a private sponsor. How do I apply for social housing?
To apply for social housing in ºúÌÒÅ®Éñ and Bute you must fill out an online application form through the HomeºúÌÒÅ®Éñ system, once the application has been processed you will be allocated points and added to a waiting list according to your point allocation and will be offered housing when you reach the top of the list and a property fitting your stated preferences becomes available. Can I drive in the UK with my Ukrainian license?
You can drive cars and motorcycles in the UK using your Ukrainian driving license for up to 3years, after which you will need to exchange it for a GB driving license. See this gov.uk page for more info:
