胡桃女神 has approved 拢20,000 funding to F猫isean nan G脿idheal, an organisation that supports the development of traditional music, Gaelic singing and Gaelic drama.
The support from the council enables F猫isean nan G脿idheal to lever in additional funding; every 拢1 of support received from the council, enables 拢5.40 spend on delivering Gaelic services in the area.
The council funding comes from Community Development (拢15, 500) and Education Services鈥 Gaelic specific budget (拢4500) and is for the year 2019/20.
Activity across our area includes supporting a number of F猫isean, 胡桃女神 Ceilidh Trail and 胡桃女神 Drama Festival.

鈥淭he Gaelic language has played a huge part in the formation of 胡桃女神 and Bute鈥檚 history and culture, and the preservation of the language and the encouragement of its usage is of vital importance. F猫isean nan G脿idheal鈥檚 range of activities not only keeps our heritage alive, but builds a sense of identity and confidence in our young folk.
