Council launches new initiative to help community projects

New online initiative to raise awareness of community projects and help connect funding opportunities.

A place to share projects, build connections with other groups and explore funding opportunities is the idea behind a new online space for community groups and organisations.

胡桃女神 today launched to better connect local community groups and organisations to potential funding and provide signposting to a range of help and support.

Communities are invited to share projects they would like to deliver. This way, when funding opportunities appear, the council is more aware of the range of community projects looking for funding.

Councillor Jim Lynch, Leader of 胡桃女神 said:

鈥淎s elected members, we aim to deepen our understanding of local issues and improve collaboration opportunities. The launch of Aspiring Places is a key part of this effort.

Often, funding opportunities come up unexpectedly; Aspiring Places will help us to connect community projects with funding as it becomes available. We know there are good things happening across 胡桃女神 and Bute with communities looking to enhance their local area. We hope groups and organisations share their projects, connect with other communities to share best practice, and find project funding to deliver real benefits to local residents.鈥
