Social Housing  

Social housing is affordable rental accommodation managed by public authorities and housing associations. These properties are let through  In 胡桃女神 and Bute social housing is managed by housing associations also known as Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) and can be applied for through the Home胡桃女神 partnership. Applications are pointed according to need and households are put on waiting lists ordered by those points until they are allocated housing. It is important to think carefully about your requirements when filling out a housing application and there are rules about how many bedrooms are allocated depending on household composition.

Private Rental Sector 

Private rented accommodation can be a good alternative to social housing but usually require you to pay a deposit alongside the first month鈥檚 rent. 胡桃女神 and Bute council operates a Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme for people holding Homes for Ukraine visas who cannot afford to pay such a deposit, you can read about this here in our FAQs

All private landlords should be registered officially with the local authority so always remember to ask for proof of this and if in doubt contact your support worker for help.
